If you play poker, it is important to keep track of how you are doing. Are you a winning player, or are you losing money? Are there some games you play better than others? What stakes are your strongest? To answer these and many other questions, you must keep records of your play, and PokerBrain will help you do that.
- Store basic session information: Location, hours played, buy-in and cash-out amounts, game played, stakes, etc.
- Add new locations, games, and stakes levels not already included in PokerBrain
- Record your comments and notes for each session
- For tournaments, track entry fees, re-buys, and add-ons
- Categorize tournaments as satellites, sit-and-goes, or multi-day (for more powerful reporting)
- Multi-day tournament log allows you to separately rate and comment on each day of the tournament
- Custom session ranking categories for each session
- Search session results by location, game, date, etc.
Already use a spreadsheet or other program to track your session results? You can import your results from a formatted text file into PokerBrain so you do not have to transfer in all your records manually.

Playing poker successfully requires a lot of self-analysis and thinking about the game. It can be very helpful to record your thoughts about a session—how you played and what you learned. PokerBrain enables this per-session analysis in two ways. First, you can write your comments and notes on the session. In addition, you can create your own custom session categories that allow you to track all kinds of information for each session that you play.
For example, you can track how many hours of sleep you got the night before the session, your mood during the session, what you ate before or during the session, or a rating of the way you played that day. Your custom ranking categories may be numbers or text. There is virtually no limit to the type or amount of information that may be tracked for each session.
The custom rankings can then be used to increase the benefit of the reports you run by providing powerful filtering capabilities. In both the professional and standard editions, you can filter both your session searches and chart reports on any combination of your custom ranking categories. In the professional edition, each custom ranking category is also available to be used in calculations and charted in reports.
And remember, you only need to use as many features as you want or need. If all you want to do is enter just the date, location, game, hours played, stakes, buy-in and cash-out for each session, you will still greatly benefit from the many pre-defined reports that are available to you.
